A one-car crash that killed a man and left his wife seriously injured on Interstate 71, March 8th, is still being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A couple was traveling south in a 1999 Chevy when the car went off the left side of the road into a median where it rolled over many times.

The driver of the vehicle was thrown from the car and killed instantly. His wife was also ejected from the car. She was taken to Bethesda North Hospital.

The Fire Chief arrived on the scene shortly after his crews had arrived. The crew had already taken the critical victim from the scene of the accident.

The Emergency Crew had made a split second decision to transport her by ground rather than helicopter because the woman did not have to be extracted from the car.

Her injuries were serious but her current condition is unknown.
