After being hit by a car for the second time in one week, structural engineers for the city, will again have to check the Washington Platform restaurant downtown.

The restaurant has been closed since the first car accident occurred last week, which sent a large crack up the side of the brick three-story building. Apprently the crash took out one of the replacement support beams that holds up the southwest corner of the building.

Lightening may only strike once, but that's not the case for this poor restaurant. In a weeks time, a car has slammed into the front entrance not once, but twice.

Police report their were no injuries in the two-car accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon. The impact of the crash sent one of the cars crashing into the restaurant. The restaurant had been closed since last week when the first accidnent occurred damaging the structure of the building.
