In a step in the right direction for prescription drug users, the FDA released a list of questionable drugs for early 2008. Questionable drugs are those with potential safety issues. The list is being released after many prescription drug users and physicians have made complaints that the potential risk factors are not being disclosed. This is the first time the FDA has released such findings, which are based on adverse health events reports made to the FDA.

The list of questionable drugs includes Cymbalta and Oxycontin. The FDA urges that they are not certain if the drugs actually carry the listed risk, as more research needs to be done. Nevertheless, this is a step in the right direction as it allows prescription drug users and physicians to make informed decisions regarding the risks of using a particular prescription drug.
