The American people have been offered two extremes for health care: government-run health care with higher taxes, or letting the insurance companies operate without rules. President Obama believes both extremes are wrong. He has proposed a plan that will strengthen employer coverage, make insurance companies accountable, and ensure patient choice of doctor and care without government and insurance company interference.
